Can I pay by card?

No, our fares are cash only. However we are working on having electronic payment options.

How long does the journey take?

One trip takes around 25 to 30 minutes.

Are your tram wheelchair friendly?

Passengers with a disability are welcome on all our tram services provided that when necessary they have a person accompanying them who can provide assistance when required. Both the Village Mall and Pia's Place tram stops have a raised platform that is wheelchair accessible. 

Please note that Mussel Pool tram stop and Village Junction Station tram stop require passengers to enter and exit the tram via steps. Some of our trams are not capable of using the raised platforms and require passengers to use steps at all tram stops.

Do you accept Companion Cards?

Yes, those who hold a companion card are entitled to a discounted $5 ticket. The companion traveling with the holder of the companion card is entitled to a free trip.

Can I use my ticket purchased at the Bennett Brook Railway for the tram?

No, the Bennett Brook Railway and the Perth electric Tramway Society are separate organisations.

Do you offer all day tickets?

No, the maximum a ticket is valid for is for one return trip. Click here for more information about our fares.

Where do I purchase my ticket from?

The tram conductor will come to collect fares once you are seated inside the tram.

Is it possible to book for a large group?

Certainly, for those traveling in large groups booking is recommended. Send us an email at petswa.info@gmail.com to book for your group.

Is it possible to hire a tram?

Do your tram services operate all year round?

Yes, we provide tram services every month of the year on selected running days.

Please note that tram services are subject to weather conditions and volunteer availability.

Are pets allowed on your tram services?

Yes, pets are allowed.

How often does a volunteer have to work?
